Matt Bresnahan is a partner at WSGR. WSGR is an international law firm specializing in corporate and intellectual property law—especially with regards to early-stage and start-up companies. Matt practices intellectual property law and focuses on creating and managing patents for early-stage/start-up companies, particularly life science companies. Maysam is an associate at WSGR who also practices intellectual property law.

On Monday, December 16th, Matt Bresnahan and Maysam Pessian will discuss companies that have spun out of universities. This discussion will include an overview of the types of issues these new companies face, along with the importance of the entrepreneurial culture to foster these new companies. Additionally, Matt and Maysam will discuss ways that Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati (WSGR) is adding to the entrepreneurial culture of Southern California, particularly at the university-level.
