Developing AR Experiences for iPhone and iPad
This session will explore ARKit, a new framework in iOS 11 that allows developers to easily create augmented reality (AR) experiences for iPhone and iPad. AR describes user experiences that add 2D or 3D elements to the live view from a device’s camera in a way that makes those elements appear to inhabit the real world. By fusing together camera sensor data and motion tracking data, ARKit provides the high-precision world tracking needed to blend digital objects and information with the physical environment. This presentation by Joe Fleck of Apple will provide a high-level overview of ARKit, techniques to place 3D content in the camera view using iOS SceneKit, and developer resources to get started.
|7:45pm – 8:45pm||
User Centric Design: The Tao of Product Development
Startups must move fast. So much of what makes a successful startup is working efficiently and relentlessly. Yet there is nothing more wasteful than working on the wrong things. Many startups fail because they do not truly understand what their customers want. User Centered Design puts the user at the center of the entire product development process. By engaging the target customer early and often, and by building tight feedback loops, you ensure that you are always building the right product at the right time. This seminar given by Eric Weiss of 7CTO’s covers the tools and processes you can employ in your startup to ensure the voice of your customer is loud and clear.
