With the Startup Week ticket, you’ll be provided access to 4 hosted days (Monday – Carlsbad, Wednesday – Logicboost Labs, Thursday- SDSU, and Friday – Qualcomm. Tijuana day (Tuesday) will be an additional cost that will cover transportation and food for the night. Food and beverages may be provided depending on the day. Additional food and beverages can be purchased on-site. Check out the full schedule here.

Yes, get a refund through Whova. The San Diego Startup team is not responsible of processing refunds.

San Diego Startup Week is organized by Startup San Diego, which is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization run by a volunteer board and three dedicated staff members. Your tickets will fund our startup events, incubator, programs, and operations.

Yes, there are some capacities at each location, checking in is a requirement to insure the safety of others and the event.

General Questions

Parking information for each day, Please plan ahead to make sure you have enough time to arrive at registration. We also highly encourage the use of the Coaster on the first day of Startup Week (Carlsbad) and public trolley transportation if possible. 

Day 1 – Carlsbad New Village Arts 

Free parking will be available at the Carlsbad Village Train station (2775 State St, Carlsbad, CA 92008). Get there early to guarantee parking, or there is free street parking along State street or Roosevelt Street. 

Day 2 – ArkusNexus HQ, Tijuana Mexico

If you are crossing by foot with the Startup Week team, meet us at the PedEast US border entry just a few steps from the San Ysidro Trolley.

We will walk across the border around 3:00PM and a shuttle bus will take us directly to the ArkusNexus building.

Paid Parking Options:

  1. LAZ Parking: 714 E San Ysidro Blvd, San Diego, CA 92173
  2. Gateway parking: 701 E San Ysidro Blvd, San Diego, CA 92173
  3. Border Lot 1: 712 Rail Ct, San Diego, CA 92173

If you are driving directly to ArkusNexus (Suchiate 13, Revolucion, 22015 Tijuana, B.C., Mexico) complimentary parking will be available in their parking garage.

Day 3 – LogicBoosts Labs Happy Hour

There is plenty of free parking at Liberty Station. The nearest parking lot is located at 2380-2578 Truxtun Rd, San Diego, CA 92106.

Day 4 – San Diego State University

Complimentary parking for the first 150 cars will be available starting at 12 PM at SDSU’s Parking Structure 3, top floor. (East Campus Dr & Zura Way

Day 5 – Qualcomm Sorrento Valley Office

Free parking will be available for all SDSW attendees at 5775 Morehouse Dr, San Diego, CA 92121.

In order to get to this parking lot, follow the directions below:

  1. Go into the parking lot and drive straight to go through the parking attendant
  2. Let them know you are a guest with Startup San Diego
  3. The guest parking lot is to the immediate left parking structure

There will be some food provided on each day and food and beverages available for purchase.

Day 1

Monday, Carlsbad will have some complimentary snacks, but food will be available for purchase on-site.

Day 2

Tuesday, Tijuana Day, is an additional ticket cost, but food and beverages will be provided that night, as well as transportation to and from the SD/TJ border.

Day 3

Wednesday, Logicboost Labs Happy Hour, will have a hosted bar and light bites provided, this is a 200 cap on attendees, so make sure you arrive early to guarantee entrance.

Day 4

Thursday, SDSU will have light snacks provided, but food will be available for purchase onsite.

Techstars San Diego Powered by San Diego State University will be hosting an after-party and will provide light bites and drinks at the end of the night.

Day 5

Friday, the final day of SDSW, Qualcomm will have light bites and drinks available. There will be additional food and beverages that can be purchased on-site.

The most popular event is San Diego Startup Week is usually out keynotes for the night or the pitch competitions. Take a look at our full schedule to plan accordingly.

It is highly preffered that you download the Whova app. Through the app you will get SDSW announcements, have the ability to create your own agenda, chat online with speakers and other attendees and see events happenings at Startup Week.

Startup Casual

We will be livestreaming select keynotes and pitch competitions for San Diego Startup Week. They will be available to view on Startup San Diego’s YouTube channel, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn Live.

Depending on the venue, a charging station may or may not be provided. There will be power plugs along the walls that are available.

Yes all locations will have wifi

There will not be dedicated meeting rooms at each venue, but there are plenty of quiet spaces where you can take your meetings, make a call, or work. Ask on-site staff, and they can help direct you.

Speaker Questions

Yes, it is preferred that speakers use the template in order to acknowledge Startup San Diego’s mission and the generous event sponsors. You can find the template in our marketing toolkit.

Yes, parking will be available onsite, and you will receive a complimentary ticket. Each parking location will depend on the location.

Your point of contact should have given you parking information, if not, take a look at our general questions section for parking info.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to provide a guest ticket, but we can offer you an additional discounted ticket.

Please check in at the registration desk, a volunteer or SDSW staff member will guide you to the green room where you can prepare for your keynote or panel.
